Butter

This winter has definitely not helped my waistline. Whenever the weather is bad I just want to lay around under a blanket and eat food. I just signed up for the calorie counter at Livestrong.com this morning. I am already paying more attention to what I am eating. It's amazing how quickly you can eat 3,000 calories in a day without realizing it!

I have two black tie events to attend in March and I would like to lose what I gained this winter. We'll see if it happens.

So far this weekend has been pretty good. I needed a low key weekend because I have been running around like crazy with work and life. It is nice to stay our of the rain in my warm house.

I am going to start knitting cowls in new colors for Albertine's Creations - actually, I have oatmeal and grape colors waiting for a sunny day so that I can take pictures.  I have a few additional colors to knit this weekend, including one that reminds me of strawberry short cake. There are five new bracelet set colors waiting to have their pictures taken as well.

I wanted to share these lovely handmade butter dishes with you before I get back to working on my own items.  As you may know, I took pottery classes for several years and I love ceramic items. Both the French and American style butter dishes are great.

It really is too bad that Etsy does not have a gift registry. These would be great items to add to a registery.  Have a great Saturday!

  1. Like you, I too am on a diet...for the first time in my life. I'm attending a black tie event the end of this month, going to my 40th class reunion in May and then leaving for Mexico for 2 weeks...I need to lose weight NOW!
